The Registered Dietitian is responsible for providing nutritional care individually and as part of an interdisciplinary outpatient care team. The Registered Dietitian is responsible for educating patients, family, professional staff and students/interns. The Registered Dietitian works under the general direction and is responsible to the Nutrition Department Outpatient Team Lead position.
Minimum Qualifications - Registered Dietitian
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience
Registered Dietitian and Licensed by the State of Arkansas preferred
Registered Dietitian II
RD, LD
1-year clinical experience
Registered Dietitian III
Master’s degree required or Specialty Certification required
Precepts dietetic interns in the UAMS internship program
2+ years’ experience
Registered Dietitian IV
4 + years’ experience
Masters required
Specialty Certification required
Additional Information:
Responsibilities: • Assessing the nutritional needs of the patient and making recommendations to meet those needs. • Documentation in the electronic medical record. • Education of family, students and other professional staff. • Teaching, discussing with medical staff and other caregivers the patient needs. • Clerical and office duties. • Presentations outside the hospital as required. • Other duties as assigned.
