Academic Advising Manager
The Transfer Advising Manager advises pre-business, certificate, and transfer students while managing prospective transfer advising, supporting transfer admission processes, and coordinating transfer student transition initiatives and programming. The manager serves as the institutional contact for partner transfer institutions, fostering relationships that support transfer pathways, recruitment, and student success. They maintain advising records, contribute to advising and transition programming, and work to ensure students receive accurate, timely, and holistic support that promotes retention and timely degree completion while helping foster an inclusive and welcoming environment.
Serves as a main point of contact for students and provides information about educational options and academic requirements; assists with identifying and assessing interests, skills, and values to match appropriate field of study/career options, and refers students to appropriate institutional resources
Maintains expertise with advised curriculum and may assist in developing and recommending exceptions for policy and curriculum
Supervises unit staff and/or plans, organizes, allocates resources, assesses performance, and leads the operational activities of a function within the advising or academic services portfolio, such as program management and/or curriculum management
Proactively engages students as needed
Maintains confidentiality and accurate student records and processes and responds to academic inquiries according to established institutional and Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) policies
Develops and implements academic advising events such as workshops, panel discussions, and guest speakers
Participates in the campus-wide advising community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college
Receives, processes, and responds to academic inquiries according to established policies and procedures

The minimum salary for the position is $65,000. Actual starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications.

Minimum 2 Years of experience in higher education
Minimum 1 Year experience leading programming for transfer students
Experience working collaboratively across schools/colleges
Experience working directly with transfer, pre-business, and certificate students
Bachelor's degree required
Master’s degree in higher education or related field preferred
