Job Description
Department: Organizational Leadership Bachelor Program
General Statement of Job
The Academic Coach serves as a liaison between South Texas College and other relevant entities involved in competency-based and other modality degree programs; manages students and monitors their course progress to ensure maximum success; and, when necessary, assists other Bachelor Program student success specialists with case management. Further, the Academic Coach closely collaborates with the department chairs of the Bachelor Programs to ensure proper implementation and supervision of elements critical to its success. This includes, but is not limited to, faculty and student orientations, overview of course development and application, budgetary administration, and ongoing student recruitment and public relations.
