Field Service Technician – Power Generation

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of electronics and ability to read blue prints and electronic schematics
• Ability to bend down, stand over, lay down and complete work tasks within the tight confines typical of genset enclosures and compartments and/or engine rooms for long periods of time
• Ability to operate machine shop equipment used for fabricating test parts and equipment
• Proficient in the operation and troubleshooting of engines, instrumentation and electronic engine controls
• Proficient in the use of mechanical and electric hand tools
• Proficient in the use of measurement and testing tools for mechanical and electrical systems
• Proficient in technical language and engineering terminology
• Proficient in the principles of electronics, physics, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Proficient in the operation of internal combustion engines
• Proficient in the physical properties of fuels, coolants, lubricants and oils
• Proficient verbal and written English communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
• Experience with MTU engines and electronics
• Experience in gaseous engine service industry
• Experience in testing of gaseous engine components
• Experience in rigging of weights up to 1 ton
• Experience in report and service letter writing
• Bi-lingual in Spanish
