Overview
The Director of Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) serves a highly visible system leader, responsible for oversight, direction, and evaluation of EHS programs within Riverside Health System. Responsibilities include oversight of establishing regulatory standards for System level policies and programs, providing technical regulatory expertise, and development of training, competency, and compliance programs. The Director is responsible for leading, and sustaining effective EHS management programs throughout the Health System and ensuring organizational operations are in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Virginia Occupational Safety and Health (VOSH), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VDEQ), Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD), and other Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as requirements of accrediting bodies.
