As QuidelOrtho continues to grow, we are seeking to appoint an Operations Technician to join our Manufacturing – Wells department in Pencoed on a permanent basis. This role will work on a 7-day fortnight shift pattern.
Your new role:
As an Operations Technician at QuidelOrtho, you will work as part of the Wells Manufacturing team, to carry out the routine manufacture and quality control of the range of immunodiagnostics products.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Carry out standard duties such as set up/set down and general running of the Production Line and following/completing Electronic Batch Records (EBR)
Routine top up of all consumables required on the Well Manufacturing Lines – Plate Lids, Silica Gels, Reagent Pack Bottoms, Top Plugs and Boxes.
Monitoring yield and adhering to reaction/escalation sheets located in the area. Completion of Engineering Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Preparation of consumables to be used in the ECA (Environmentally Controlled Area) e.g. plates & boxes.
General housekeeping of Area including the removal of waste during/end of shift/removal of gowning from ECA.
Completion of relevant TPM tasks/logs and scheduled cleaning activities including accurate completion of associated forms.
Ensures that all activities are carried out in compliance with all regulations and laws governing business and quality operations (QRS/GMP, ISO, etc.). Responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, national, international and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Basic Math’s and English essential.
Basic Science background preferred.
Relevant operational experience preferred.
Microsoft office experience essential (Including Excel).
Production Line or Laboratory work desired.
Hardworking, reliable with good attendance and timekeeping.
Flexible towards overtime.
Ability to communicate verbally with all members of the operational team.
