The WAE - Coordinator for Operational Development is a temporary position reporting to the Manager for Campus Life within the Office of Campus Life. This role is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operation of the LSU Food Pantry and leads special projects intended to elevate the student employee and volunteer experience within the LSU Food Pantry and the Campus Life main office.
Job Responsibilities:
Program Support - 40%
Coordinate the logistics and operations for the LSU Food Pantry including student staff oversight, volunteer management, regular reporting to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, and overseeing expenditures for the Food Pantry.
Administrative Support - 40%
Responsible for administrative management and support for student staffing and volunteer engagement within the Office of Campus Life. Develop key resources such as training materials, operational procedures, and staff evaluation tools.
Quality Control - 10%
Ensure every aspect of the LSU Food Pantry and Student Staffing outputs, including administrative tasks, implementation, and overall design exudes a high degree of quality. Embrace and execute the marginal gains approach and seek to increase the level of all services, events, programs, and experiences in the department for continuous improvement every academic year.
Direct Student Support - 10%
Translate department efforts, initiatives, and goals to students through interactions at programs, services, events, and experiences. Serve as the liaison between students and Campus Life leadership. Responsible for coaching student employees and Food Pantry volunteers to meet expectations and provide a positive experience for users.
Other Duties as Assigned - 5%
Other duties as assigned by the Director for Campus Life and direct supervisor.

This position requires the ability and willingness to work some evening and weekend hours.
This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
As with all LSU employees, due to this position title and/or responsibilities, this position has an obligation to assist students in the acquisition of necessary services. Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student Health Center. In situations where the student creates an impression that they are a danger to themselves or others, the advisor should immediately contact the Care Team, the Dean of Students or the appropriate law enforcement agency. The employee outside of those rights contained within FERPA should create no impression of client or patient confidentiality.
