HNTB is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the New York City office. As an engineer, you will be an integral part of a design and analysis team made up of primarily professional engineers. Both recent graduates and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
The position is responsible for tunnel ventilation and fire & life safety in all types of tunnels, highway, transit and rail. The successful candidate will perform calculations to determine fan performance requirements, standpipe design, emergency egress including modeling, smoke movement modeling and egress route determination and fire protection.
Training will be provided for computationally intense programs that the successful candidate will have to use. These programs include 1-D network calculations, 3-D computational fluid calculations and egress requirements.

The approximate pay range for New York is $66,406.79 - $124,512.74. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
