We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Trainer (Production) to join our company and support our Rushville, Indiana location.
As a Technical Trainer (Production) for Corteva Agriscience, you will provide training to employees to ensure they all have a thorough understanding of Corteva's safety and quality standards and are able to apply that learning to their daily responsibilities. You will be responsible for all aspects of the technical training requirements, including the development of new training materials, maintaining the training calendar, facilitating engaging hands-on training, and coordinating training events.

This role will be on-site at the Corteva location.
What You’ll Do:
Execute site training on the following topics: Safety, Health & Environment, Continuous Improvement, Quality System, and Process documentation
Lead training and related communication, credibility, enthusiasm, and energy
Apply adult learning theory techniques to deliver engaging and effective training programs. Utilize evaluation methods and ensure content accuracy is maintained
Assists with writing JSAs (Job Safety Analysis), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) & track related training requirements
Lead training administration activities, including course assignments, tracking completions, documents, and reports
Welcome and onboard new employees and contractors to ensure a thorough understanding of Corteva policies and procedures
Conduct field and plant audits
Maintain a strong shop floor presence to build relationships with the team and work to continuously improve overall site operations
Act as liaison with contract labor agencies regarding training requirements and responsibilities- communicate with and ensure contract agencies are training their employees on the required policies and procedures
Serve as back up to the location safety leader
Location Specific Items:
Assess and determines site-specific training needs and requirements across Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S), Continuous Improvement, Quality Management Systems, Standard Work, and Process Work Instructions to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Lead and support safety standard owners in executing assigned EHS&S requirements by facilitating annual review meetings, developing action plans, and ensuring accountability to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to established standards.
Conduct hands-on training as needed (Employee Area Orientations, forklift operations, fall protection, safety standard requirements, etc.)
Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant, field, and warehouse operations that evolve with each season throughout the year
Coaching & leadership skills
Conduct Site Tours
Perform additional duties as requested by leadership
Education:
High School Diploma/GED.
What Skills You Need:
Holds a valid driver's license
Demonstrates experience in training /facilitating/ leading a process or work team
Thrives on organization, setting up, and continuously improving systems
Strong proactive work ethics and good time management skills
Values working as a team, are proactive, communicate concerns, and open to change
Proficiency in using Microsoft 360, especially Outlook and PowerPoint
Exceptional interpersonal skills – verbally and written
Willingness to work on a primarily day schedule but has the flexibility to conduct training sessions on different shifts, including occasional weekends and overtime as needed
Physical Job Requirements:
Stand and sit for extended periods
Work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions
Lift up to 60 lbs.
Perform work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
Exposure to dust and plant allergens including but not limited to corn, sunflower, cotton, and canola pollen and protein and sorghum as well as potential mold spores and/or chemicals in the course of your duties
