Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring a Foreman for a large project in Vernon. The Foreman will be responsible for supervising trade employees assigned to a particular construction discipline or work area.
Reporting to: Superintendent
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in planning work schedule(s) and determining and maintaining workforce requirements, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Clark Builders safety policies and procedures
Identify hazards and correct any unsafe conditions
Lead QA/QC checks and inspections
Lead site specific orientations and tailgate meetings
Draft and submit RFI’s
Assume control of the site if the Superintendent is off site
Other duties as required
Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner
Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures
Skills and Knowledge:
The ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and communicate this information to others
Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.
Conflict resolution
The capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season
Qualifications:
Journeyperson trade certification
8+ years of construction experience
Valid first aid certificate an asset
Valid Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset

Comments:
Wage Range: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Please note that only candidates local to the Vernon area will be considered.
Environmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.
Ability to work weekends is an asset.
