Position Overview:
Artemis is seeking an experienced, highly motivated individual to lead all acquisitions and asset management activities for the firm’s manufactured housing platform. This role will be responsible for sourcing, underwriting, executing, and managing manufactured housing investments, while partnering with portfolio management and senior leadership to implement business plans and achieve investment objectives. The Senior Vice President will play a leadership role in defining strategy, driving performance across the portfolio, and expanding the firm’s presence in the manufactured housing sector. The initial focus will be on overseeing the existing owned manufactured housing portfolio across the country and may expand to other asset classes and investments owned in joint ventures. The position has significant growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
·Lead sourcing, evaluation, and execution of manufactured housing investment opportunities.
·Oversee due diligence and underwriting processes for new investments.
·Develop and maintain financial models and investment analyses.
·Negotiate and/or review joint venture agreements, purchase and sale agreements, and loan documents.
·Prepare Investment Committee memoranda and present recommendations to senior management.
·Support capital raising efforts and investor presentations.
·Lead implementation and execution of asset-level business plans across the manufactured housing portfolio.
·Oversee annual budgeting, strategic planning, and operating performance tracking.
·Review property reports and monitor performance relative to pro forma, forecasts, and investment targets.
·Identify and execute value creation strategies, including operational improvements, repositioning, and capital programs.
·Manage refinancings, recapitalizations, and disposition processes.
·Ensure compliance with loan documents, joint venture agreements, and other governing agreements.
·Develop and execute the firm’s manufactured housing investment strategy.
·Monitor market trends, supply/demand dynamics, and competitive positioning to inform investment decisions.
·Evaluate portfolio-wide opportunities to enhance returns through pricing, leasing, expense management, and capital deployment.
·Collaborate with acquisitions, portfolio management, development, and investor relations teams.
·Direct third-party property managers, brokers, consultants, and vendors.
·Coordinate preparation of materials for Investment Committee and institutional investors.
·Supervise and mentor junior investment professionals; provide formal and informal training.
·Create and standardize asset management reporting and best practices.
·Deliver regular portfolio updates and performance reporting to senior leadership and investors.
Requirements:
·At least 10 years (preferably 15 years) of related acquisitions and asset management experience, including recent direct management of manufactured housing investments.
·Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate or another related field.
·Self-starter who is proactive in their acquisitions and asset management responsibilities.
·Strong understanding of financial analysis, modeling, and valuation and the ability to use financial and valuation software including Excel.
·Proficiency with and ability to negotiate key real estate agreements including purchase and sale agreements, management agreements, construction agreements, partnership agreements, and loan agreements.
·Understanding of finance concepts such as NOI returns, cash flow returns, internal rate of return, present value/discounted cash flow.
·Ability to perform market research.
·Ability to direct and monitor the activities of others on a systematic basis.
·Understanding of the transaction due diligence process for investment realizations.
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and experience making presentations to senior management, investment committees, and/or clients.
·Excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills (i.e. able to find acceptable solutions to business challenges).
·Outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
·Ability to travel frequently (i.e. one to two days/week, if necessary)

Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week during standard business hours. Additional work outside of standard business hours is also required.
Travel:
This position requires frequent out of state overnight travel to other office locations, asset sites, and conferences.
