Job Description:
Mammography Tech
Full Time, First Shift – M-F 7:30a-2:30p
Operates digital mammography equipment to include screening and diagnostic mammogram images, needle localization, galactogram, of the breast as requested by a radiologist.
Job Duties:
- Perform mammography screenings and diagnostic procedures following established protocols and guidelines.
- Operate mammography equipment to produce clear and accurate images, adjusting settings as necessary for optimal results.
- Position patients correctly and comfortably for imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient information, images, and any relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review images and ensure accurate interpretation.
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma – Completion of training in Radiologic Technology or Military training graduate of JRCERT-accredited program
- Current license through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy
- BLS
- ARRT registered or registry eligible. Must obtain Mammography credential through ARRT within 1 year of eligibility
Preferred Requirements:
- Mammography experience preferred
