Executive Director, Data Science and Bioinformatics (CVRM)

Essential requirements:
Education:

PhD (preferred) or equivalent advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, computer science, applied mathematics, biomedical engineering, or related field  

Leadership:

+8 years' experience leading bioinformatics/data science organizations in biotech/pharma, including people leadership, org design, hiring, and coaching  

Domain depth:

Demonstrated impact in CVRM-relevant biology (e.g., obesity, diabetes, heart failure, CKD, MASH, atherosclerosis) and/or deep translational/clinical application of omics and real-world data.  

Technical breadth:

Strong background in one or more of the following areas, with working knowledge across others: multi-omics analysis, statistical methods, ML, and modern computational practices (e.g., cloud/HPC, workflow orchestration, versioning, and scalable data processing).

Experience with or exposure to contemporary transformer-based AI architectures

Drug development mindset: Experience influencing decisions across the R&D lifecycle, including target validation, biomarker development, patient stratification, and clinical endpoint strategy.  

Communication & influence:

Proven ability to communicate complex analyses to executive and cross-functional audiences; strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Compliance awareness:

Familiarity with data privacy, ethical AI considerations, and regulated environments (as applicable to clinical data and patient information).

Desirable requirements

Experience in complex global organizations

Scientific credibility: Track record of high-impact contributions (e.g., publications, patents, major program milestones, platform launches, or widely adopted methods).

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $ 258 157,60 - 387 236,40 Annual USD. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program.
