Job Description:
This job is responsible for infrastructure tool/service designs within technical domains in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Key responsibilities include facilitating deployment of tools/services by leading others in solution development, maintenance of templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. Job expectations include demonstrating expertise within technical domains, decomposing issues or objectives into work units, advancing efficient solution delivery practices, and promoting exceptional design, engineering and organizational practices.
Overview:
This role provides critical engineering support for the DDCS (Database Data Collection Scanner) and ENVentory (Database Inventory System of Origin) applications within the Database Services organization under Global Technology – Core Technology Infrastructure. These internally developed applications enable deep metadata discovery for the bank’s mid range databases and expose this metadata to AIT owners, database administrators, and general users through a web based user interface. The data supports day to day operations, database governance and compliance metrics, and data reconciliation with ServiceNow, the system of record.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum 5-7+ years hands on experience with application development and Web development, Java, Spring boot, Spring microservices, React js, Redis db, Celery, SQLAlchemy, Python Flask, Autosys
Experience using shared storage and load balancer for application resiliency
Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in Linux/Unix environments and very experienced with scripting languages such as Shell/Python
Experience using monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, DNT) to assess application and environment health
Hands on experience troubleshooting application production issues
Minimum 5 years of experience working in an Agile delivery environment, including participation in sprint planning, daily stand ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Minimum 5-7+ years hands on experience writing complex SQL queries (SQL / Oracle PLSQL) and strong knowledge of advanced database concepts
Experience in implementing Inventory and Entitlement controls
Asset Management - ServiceNow / MDH domain knowledge
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands
Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes of complex production issues
Strong experience in automation of container image builds, testing, and deployment to OpenShift
