The University of Wisconsin–Platteville invites applications for a 9-month Lecturer position in Spanish within the Department of Humanities. Appointment percentage will be based on departmental needs.
The position primarily supports in-person instruction on the Platteville, Wisconsin campus. We are seeking an engaged and student-centered instructor committed to undergraduate language teaching and fostering students’ linguistic and intercultural competence.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Spanish, Hispanic Studies, Spanish Education, Applied Linguistics, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
Demonstrated teaching experience in Spanish language instruction.
Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English.
Ability to teach introductory and intermediate Spanish language courses.
Strong commitment to undergraduate education and student success.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.

About the Program:
The Spanish program is housed within the Department of Humanities, which also includes English and Philosophy. The department values interdisciplinary teaching, student-centered learning, and the development of global and intercultural perspectives. The Spanish program serves students from a variety of majors and plays an important role in the university’s general education curriculum.
