We are looking for a Senior Technical Solution Consultant to join our in our Academia & Government team in Tokyo office. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Clarivate Software suite portfolio. The team consists of Sales and Pre-Sale and are reporting to the Senior Director, Product Sales. We have a great skill set in the Library market and we would love to speak with you if you have such background.
Partner closely with Sales to drive revenue growth by positioning compelling, value-based solutions for prospective and existing customers. Play a critical role in the sales cycle by leading high-impact product demonstrations, shaping winning proposals, and influencing deal strategy. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, translating complex business requirements into differentiated solutions that accelerate deal progression and support customer buying decisions. Serve as a senior product and business expert, providing strategic input that strengthens sales outcomes and aligns solutions with customer and business objectives.
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
Experience:
7 Years of Relevant Experience
Serve as a strategic partner to Sales by influencing opportunity qualification, solution positioning, and customer buying decisions throughout the sales lifecycle.
Translate customer business objectives into compelling value propositions that clearly differentiate Innovative solutions in competitive sales scenarios.
Provide consultative insight to Sales on deal risk, customer readiness, and adoption considerations to improve forecast accuracy and deal outcomes.
Support complex and strategic opportunities by aligning solution scope, commercial intent, and customer success criteria early in the sales process.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, reinforcing confidence in solution fit, scalability, and long-term value.
Contribute to account and territory planning by identifying expansion opportunities, cross-sell/upsell potential, and long-term growth paths.
Support Sales leadership with strategic input on large, multi-stakeholder deals, renewals, and competitive displacement opportunities.
Advocate for customer needs internally by providing structured feedback to Sales leadership that improves go-to-market execution and win rates.
Participate in deal reviews and pipeline discussions to provide solution-level perspective and recommendations.
Elevate sales effectiveness by sharing best practices, success stories, and lessons learned across the Sales and Solutions Consulting community.
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:
Knowledge of networking, SaaS and Cloud computing.
Good understanding of library technology and ability to learn and apply new technologies.
Demonstrated strong commitment to customer service.
Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
