Andrew will work alongside faculty mentors Alan Gerber and Gregory Huber on projects related to quantitative political behavior research. He will work closely with both professors and their co-authors on a variety of topics, including surveying and analyzing elite public opinion, how politics affects government performance and the production of public goods, and understanding various aspects of mass political attitudes and policy opinions. Modes of inquiry will likely include large-scale analysis of observational data; field, survey, and lab experiments; and mass and elite surveys. This work will train Andrew to build large datasets, analyze data, create academic presentations, and prepare manuscripts for publication.
