Job Description:
Assure implementation according to work plans and budgets for all objectives and activities, advising on and executing adjustments and revisions when necessary
Coordinate with NGO Forum and lead the submission of project reports to donor through WVG
Ensure all involved staff have copies of approved program design (narrative, logframe, monitoring and evaluation plan, budget) and grant agreement and that they understand donor regulations, reporting and other requirements;
Conduct regular supportive supervision visits to projects locations and ensure are efficient implementation of activities
Provide support to and coordination of project objectives and activities implemented by the South Sudan NGO Forum, advising on adjustments when necessary
Spearhead coordination and collaboration between country programs to promote information sharing, joint planning, and problem solving, to support operational effectiveness
External representation with local authorities, government ministries, community leaders, and when necessary, the donor, primarily in South Sudan
Represent and coordinate meetings with other stakeholders, South Sudan NGO Forum local organizations, partners, and high-level government officials.
Provide updates on projects at coordination meetings. Provide key stakeholders with updates of meeting outcomes stakeholder priorities;
Facilitate coordination with another German-funded recovery project, linked through the “Chapeau” strategy
Qualification
Minimum of master’s degree in a humanitarian and development related field
Technical expertise in Food Security and livelihoods
At least 3-5 years of proven ability in the management of large integrated projects in fragile contexts
Ability to master and implement donor regulations; experience with GFFO/BMZ is a plus, experience with other bilateral donors such as, GAC, WB, FCDO and others will also be considered favourably
Experience working/living in hardship conditions. Familiarity and past experience in South Sudan context is a plus
Ability to integrate teams of professionals around common goals
Strong verbal communication skills, strong presentation and report writing skills
Ability to achieve results through partners
Experience working in large and diverse teams
Experience in leading and managing multi-sectoral grants is a plus
