We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Electrical System Engineer - Fuels, to join our dynamic and experienced Fuel Systems Engineering team, in Brazil.
The Senior Electrical System Engineer - Fuels will work with the Fuel Systems engineering team, within the propulsion organization, to support the integration, development and certification of fuel systems for transport category airplanes. Review documentation and generate artifacts to demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory and customer requirements, related to electronic, electrical and control systems applied to fuel storage, indicating and distribution functions, as well as developing and implementing electromagnetic/electrostatics analysis and tests for fuels and fuel systems.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leads the Definition, validation, verification and documentation of complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
• Leads the Definition and coordination of functional and physical interfaces between the fuel system and the vehicle.
• Leads the development of specifications, architectural and configuration concepts for fuel system electrical and electronic installations to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Oversees and uses various testing, analysis, modeling and simulation tools to estimate or calculate system performance or electromagnetic/electrostatics effects.
• Defines, performs and reviews certification tests for fuel systems and their components.
• Solves problems of fielded equipment over the entire product lifecycle. Supports fielded systems to ensure continued reliability.
• Writes, oversees and reviews teammates work on Functional Hazard Assessments, System Safety Assessment reports, Test Proposals, Test Results, Certifications Plans, and Issue Papers.
• Coordinates activities with equipment suppliers, certification authorities and other areas to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
• Engineers in this position are expected to work assignments, collaborate with teammates, and receive tasks from lead managers.
• This position will require occasional national and/or international travel.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
• Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
• Experience leading Fuel System Electrical Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
• Experience leading Propulsion System Electrical Design, Analys and Certification for transport category airplanes.
• Experience leading Fuel quantity indicating systems Design, Analysis and Certification for transport category airplanes.
• Experience developing and approving electrical system circuit diagrams and schematics.
• Experience leading electrostatics analysis and testing for fuels.
