The Data and AI Domain at Santander is responsible for setting the strategic direction for data, analytics, and artificial intelligence across the organisation. It ensures that data is managed as a trusted enterprise asset and that advanced technologies are applied responsibly, securely, and effectively to create value for customers and the business.
THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE
The Data and AI Domain is looking for a Domain Portfolio Lead based out of Milton Keynes.
It’s an exciting time to join the Data and AI Domain as the team play a key role in the future transformation of Santander UK. This role is a critical part of the global domain operating model and will report directly into the UK Data and AI Domain Lead, overseeing the bank-wide data and AI portfolio, OKRs and implementation of the global operating model.
We’re
Working across the business to identify, oversee and support the execution of the Data and AI portfolio and the associated projects/use cases
Implementation of the global value management framework and the measurement of benefits associated with the UK bank’s data and AI portfolio
Working with the Domain Leadership team to ensure the portfolio is set up for success, including the identification and mobilisation of cross-functional squads
Driving the implementation of the global domain operating model within the UK, including the implementation of consistent functional and domain led reporting
Delivery of the Domains OKRs, working closely with the Domain Leadership team, as well as the Quarterly Business Review (QBR) process
Delivery of specialist projects, as required, to support the delivery of the local Domain plan
Working closely with the global Data and AI Domain to ensure portfolio and strategic alignment

Professional Experience
Experience working within a technology or data context (Required)
Experience delivering complex cross functional projects (Required)
Experience managing large budgets and complex resourcing requirements (Preferred)
Education
Degree level or equivalent qualifications (Preferred)
Technical / Data qualifications (Preferred)
Languages

Hard Skills
Data & AI Technical Acumen - Knowledge of cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure), data lakes and modern data and AI stacks (Preferred)
Portfolio & Programme Leadership - Managing multiple initiatives, dependencies, budgets, and delivery roadmaps (Preferred)
Commercial & Financial Acumen - Budget management, cost optimisation and ROI tracking (Preferred)
Soft Skills
Senior Stakeholder Management - Influencing and challenging executives across business and technology (Preferred)

Salary Range:
£68,662.00 - £102,994.00 per annum (depending on experience)
This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills, experience, qualifications and location.
