As a Technology Lawyer in Client Contracting, you'll play a vital role in providing trusted legal advice on complex technology agreements, working with internal stakeholders across all areas and levels of the organisation.
Why PwC?
At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we're building trust and shaping the future.
What you'll do:
Provide trusted and pragmatic advice on technology client contracting matters, delivering clear, plain English guidance to stakeholders at all levels.
Draft and negotiate a variety of technology-related agreements including Master/Framework Services Agreements, Technology-specific Services Agreements, Subcontract Agreements, Licence Agreements, Reseller Agreements, and Statements of Work.
Undertake legal analysis and risk assessment on commercial arrangements and legal obligations.
Follow escalation protocols and consult senior lawyers as required on complex matters.
Deliver training and presentations to internal stakeholders to build legal capability across the business.
Monitor legal and regulatory changes, developing flexible, creative, and innovative solutions to business problems.
Work closely with internal stakeholders, particularly PwC's risk and compliance teams, to provide focused solutions that address legal risk.
What we're looking for:
A minimum of 1 year PQE with a technology or commercial law background.
Post-admission experience in contracting, data, and IP, ideally in private practice or in-house.
Strong technical knowledge in one or more areas of commercial contracting.
Experience and confidence in dealing with stakeholders, including the ability to draft clear and precise legal documents and communications.
Excellent interpersonal and commercial skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence with impact.
The ability to identify and assess legal risks, articulating likelihood and impact so the business can make informed, risk-based decisions.
The ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
A genuine interest in improving practice innovation and digitisation.
What you'll gain:
The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.
Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work—balancing what's best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.
Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.
Generous leave entitlements to support your work-life balance - including floating public holidays, birthday leave and ability to purchase additional leave on top of your four weeks.
A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.
