We are looking for an Firmware System Engineer to drive and execute the integration, architecture validation, and system-level bring-up of NVIDIA's next-generation networking products. In this role, you will act as the core technical bridge between Silicon FW, Software, and System Engineering to take cutting-edge products from first-silicon to global mass market.
The dynamic and fast-paced work environment will require you to excel in complex system-level problem-solving and debugging, all while fostering collaboration among exceptional engineers across NVIDIA's global sites.
What you’ll be doing:
Lead the system-level bring-up and validation of next-generation NVIDIA network platforms from pre-silicon simulation to early hardware power-on stages.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve high-value, complex system bottlenecks across PCIe, memory subsystems, security, and network interoperability.
Architect and execute advanced functional tests to validate the HW/FW/SW boundary, ensuring seamless interaction across various hardware emulation and testing platforms.
Develop software tools and automated frameworks to optimize system diagnostics, telemetry, and debugging workflows.
Collaborate closely with Silicon and FW Design teams to influence and shape future features based on validation insights.
What we need to see:
B.Sc. or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering.
3+ years of overall experience in Firmware, Embedded Systems, Hardware or System Validation Engineering.
Knowledge in Python or C/C++ for system debugging, automation, or test development.
Strong system-level understanding and hands-on lab experience with modern hardware protocols (e.g., PCIe, I2C/SPI, and high-speed interfaces).
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional alignment across global engineering teams in English.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Deep understanding of computing architectures, including the ability to analyze hardware system block diagrams and schematic sheets.
Experience with peripherals protocols, network protocols, storage protocols.
Previous roles as a technical lead, bring-up lead, or system validation owner.
