

Support Center - Irving
The Set-up Specialist’s responsibility is the completion all activities required for a new store, relocation, remodel or other type of project from fixture installation through soft opening and the implementation of all MIK SOP’s and Best Practices.
Within the Store Planning Department, the Specialist implements, produces, monitors, and maintains all projects, programs, documents, and functions assigned in assisting their assigned Manager in the performance of his or her duties.
Major Activities
Guides and trains the store management team and the entire store staff on all aspects of the project execution as the process expert. Specifics include:
Planogram Execution – Train, supervise and inspect the setting of over 600 merchandise planograms
Freight Flow – Direct the distribution of freight on the sales floor to ensure that it flows in an organized manner and train the Replenishment Team to facilitate prompt stocking
Stocking – Direct and train in the stocking of the sales counters, walls and promotional fixtures. Ensure the proper execution of overstocks and complete the training of the Michaels Directed Replenishment initiative.
Directed Replenishment – Train and supervise the Store Team in the set up and completion of the Directed Replenishment Process per SOP standards
Store Completion – Direct and train in the detailing of the sales floor to merchandise standards and visual guidelines.

Five or more years of successful leadership / training experience in store management at assistant level or higher.
Experience with the policies, programs and procedures associated with the operation of a Michaels store to include:
