Job Description:
Do you know how to help organizations navigate complex reputational challenges while building trust with key stakeholders? Are you energized by helping executives and brands shape narratives, manage issues and engage audiences through thoughtful communications strategies?
As a Vice President, Corporate Affairs at Zeno, you will support existing clients, contribute to new business and lead multi-dimensional corporate communications programs that span reputation, executive visibility, internal and financial communications, issues management, stakeholder engagement, media relations, digital strategy and corporate social.

About the Role:
Develop strategic, creative and forward-looking communications plans that connect client business priorities to reputation, stakeholder engagement and communications impact.
Bring fresh, out-of-the-box thinking to client challenges, identifying sharper narratives, unexpected platforms, and more modern ways to reach the audiences that matter.
Develop media relations strategies and conduct outreach across national business, trade, industry and emerging media that influence corporate reputation and stakeholder perception.
Help clients navigate the rapidly changing communications, media and business landscape, including shifts in technology, culture, AI, digital behavior, stakeholder activism and platform dynamics.
Apply AI, emerging technologies, digital communications, corporate social media, LinkedIn strategy, owned channels and integrated storytelling to improve insight, creativity, speed, relevance and impact.
Serve as a trusted day-to-day counselor to clients and internal agency partners, providing strategic guidance, anticipating needs, solving problems and leading high-quality work.
Mentor, coach and support team members, helping develop their skills, confidence, judgment and ability to deliver excellent work while contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Manage account resources, staff utilization, timelines, budgets, forecasting, scope and profitability.
Identify opportunities to grow existing client relationships, expand scope of work through Zeno’s network capabilities and contribute to new business strategy, materials and outreach.
Support continuous learning across the corporate affairs practice by sharing trends, media intelligence, emerging best practices and new approaches that strengthen the work.
About You:
10+ years of experience in corporate affairs, corporate communications, corporate PR or related fields in an agency or similar fast-paced environment.
A history of providing sound creative and strategic counsel to clients, building credibility with senior client contacts and connecting communications strategy to business priorities, stakeholder expectations and reputational outcomes.
Strong understanding of the modern media ecosystem, including national business media, trade and industry media, digital platforms, emerging media voices, creators, newsletters, podcasts and social-first channels that shape business conversation.
A current track record of building relationships with business and corporate media and driving meaningful results for clients.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, creatively and holistically about client programs, with the curiosity and courage to challenge expected approaches and bring forward new ideas.
Excellent writing, editing, messaging, storytelling and presentation skills, including experience developing client presentations, executive materials and new business recommendations.
Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies, including how to use them responsibly and effectively to improve insight, strategy, creativity, speed and execution.
Collaborative spirit, results-driven mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity, managing multiple priorities and helping clients and teams make smart decisions in fast-moving situations.
Proven leadership experience, including mentoring, coaching and developing junior talent while helping teams produce their best work.
Entrepreneurial mindset, with experience identifying organic growth opportunities and contributing to business development efforts.
Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 USD/yr
An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
