Job Description Summary:
Leads the strategic design of how Breakthru partners with Suppliers to drive growth, acting as the primary architect of proactive insights, analytics, and strategic recommendations across the business. This role identifies emerging category, customer, brand, pricing, and market trends; translates data into actionable opportunities; and develops forward-looking strategies that strengthen Breakthru’s commercial partnerships with Suppliers.
Operating with significant autonomy, the Director defines the team’s strategic workplan, prioritizes high-impact opportunities, and ensures insights are converted into clear business actions that influence Supplier strategy, commercial decisions, portfolio priorities, and field execution. Reporting into the Commercial Strategy organization, this leader manages a team of two Analysts while serving as a thought partner to senior Breakthru and Supplier stakeholders.

Job Description:
This role follows a flexible hybrid schedule, with two days per week in the office and three days working from home. This role can be performed from most Breakthru Beverage office Location.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Supplier Partnership & Growth Design
Define and evolve Breakthru’s strategic partnership model with Suppliers across analytics, planning, and business performance
Act as a strategic thought partner to Supplier and Breakthru Commercial Strategy leadership
Shape high‑priority strategic workstreams that strengthen supplier partnerships and unlock sustainable growth
Develop category, portfolio, and market strategies aligned to Supplier growth priorities
Identify implications of changing consumer demand, competitive dynamics, and channel shifts on Supplier portfolios
Support long‑term growth planning tied to portfolio expansion, premiumization, innovation, and share gains
Lead development of forward‑looking analytics to identify risks, opportunities, whitespace, and growth levers before they become commercial issues
Translate complex performance data into clear, actionable business insights and recommendations
Analyze state‑level performance trends to uncover market‑specific opportunities, risks, and execution gaps
Evaluate brand‑level performance including velocity, depletion trends, share shifts, distribution changes, and portfolio mix
Assess channel dynamics across on‑premise, off‑premise, chains, independents, and key account segments
Monitor volume trends, pricing realization, promotional effectiveness, and margin implications
Commercial Action Planning & Strategic Problem Solving
Convert insights into targeted commercial actions for Breakthru and Supplier teams
Diagnose where growth is driven by volume, price/mix, distribution expansion, or execution quality
Recommend interventions related to assortment strategy, pricing opportunities, promotional focus, execution standards, and market prioritization
Lead hypothesis‑driven strategic problem‑solving initiatives requiring structured analysis and synthesis
Frame ambiguous commercial challenges into clear business questions and workplans
Ensure insights result in decisions, measurable actions, and tangible business outcomes
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Influence
Deliver polished, executive‑ready insights and strategic recommendations to senior Breakthru and Supplier leadership
Simplify complex analysis into compelling, decision‑oriented narratives
Influence stakeholders through strong strategic framing, sound business logic, and commercial relevance
Support executive‑level planning discussions with data‑backed perspectives
Build credibility and confidence in insights by connecting analysis to real commercial impact
Team Leadership & Workplan Ownership
Lead, develop, and prioritize work across a team of Analysts
Define and own the team’s strategic workplan with a focus on highest‑value opportunities
Balance proactive insight generation with stakeholder‑driven requests
Build team capabilities in analytics, strategic thinking, and storytelling
Establish clear workflows and prioritization to maximize impact and productivity
Other duties, as assigned by the jobholder’s supervisor, may also be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in commercial sales and marketing
Ability to think critically, both quantitatively and qualitatively
Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other analytical system tools/databases (e.g., SAP WEBI/BOBJ, PowerBI, Connected Excel, TABS Analytics, Nielsen, etc.)
Strong understanding of portfolio, pricing, and market performance drivers
Executive-level storytelling and influence with the ability to lead through insights, not authority alone
Strong people leadership and prioritization discipline
Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
Analytic and Reporting skills
Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in business, analytics or a related field is preferred (e.g., MBA)
Professional experience in beverage alcohol and/or consumer package goods is preferred
Physical Requirements:

Salary and Benefit Statement:
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience.
Salary Range: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00
This position is eligible to participate in a bonus program. Metrics and level of participation are determined annually.
This position is eligible for health care benefits, life insurance, time off benefits and participation in the Company’s 401(k) plan
