Shift: (1:30p-10p and 1130a-8p) + every other weekend
Pay Range
$18.85 - $28.30
Major Responsibilities:
Identify proper patient to be transported by checking armband
Make sure mode of transport is appropriate to patient’s condition
Make sure proper precautions are taken for each patient, i.e., oxygen, I-med, foley catheter, chest tube, etc
Make sure patient is properly covered to protect their privacy
Make sure oxygen tanks are filled daily.
Instruct and help new transport staff so they are properly trained
Make sure any pertinent patient information is relayed to supervisor or proper department/technician
Make sure supervisor or departments are aware of any delays in getting patients
Demonstrate a knowledge of institutional policies regarding patient care, fire, safety, infection control, etc. Review department manuals and sign-off supplement
Make sure carts are clean and sheets are in place at all times. Report any cart or wheelchair that is not working properly and in need of repair
10)11. Be able to make film copies. 12. Look up and file patient folders; also write new folders out. 13. Should be able to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
Education/Experience Required:
High school graduate or GED
