Procurement Service Center Analyst (Peoplesoft)

Job Summary

The Procurement Service Center Analyst is responsible for executing supplier commodity buying activities from requisition to payment in support of global Procurement Service Center goals. This role performs simple to moderate transactional buying tasks, ensures data accuracy, supports compliance, resolves exceptions, and contributes to process improvements within the Procurement organization.

Key Responsibilities

Execute simple to moderate transactional buying activities for assigned countries, regions, or business areas.
Manage the purchase order lifecycle from requisition through completion.
Maintain pricing and purchasing data accurately within applicable systems.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery and resolve purchase order-related issues.
Perform purchasing reporting activities as required.
Meet daily productivity targets established by the Procurement Service Center Supervisor for assigned product categories or plants.
Resolve simple to moderate exceptions, including match exceptions and GR/IR issues, and respond to supplier and stakeholder inquiries.
Follow clearly defined procedures and sourcing guidelines in accordance with Sourcing Policy.
Ensure adherence to internal Procurement business rules and SOX controls.
Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives, including Lean Six Sigma projects.
Support Procurement Service Center initiatives and 3M-wide activities.
Work flexible hours as needed to support global procurement requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
Typically 1–2 years of experience in sourcing or transactional procurement activities.
Excellent communication skills; fluency in English required. Additional languages may be required depending on assignment.
Strong customer service orientation with a focus on quality.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
