MEDICAL RADIATION TECHNOLOGIST – MAGNETIC RESONANCE (MRT(MR))

One (1) temporary part time Medical Radiation Technologist - Magnetic Resonance (MRT(MR)) position is available at Palmerston & District Hospital.
This position is unionized with OPSEU.

REQUIREMENTS:
Diploma (Degree) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from an accredited institution
Registration with the CMRITO as an MRI Technologist required
MRT plus MRI certification required
Registration with CAMRT - preferred
MR safety officer certification required
Current BCLS
Must be IV certified
Demonstrated understanding of all applicable regulatory standards and legislation
Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with many and varied internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies
Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills
Thorough knowledge of the practice of MRI procedures and quality assurance
Experience providing safety training and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and standards
Experience with overseeing and troubleshooting scanner and peripheral equipment
Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities
Ability to work professionally and accurately under stressful conditions
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
Other duties as required
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Satisfactory performance and attendance required
Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date
Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check
Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired
HOURS OF WORK:
As per department schedule
Must be available for all shifts
SALARY: $36.84 to $51.77 per hour
