The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of both complex and routine facility maintenance responsibilities. This individual is detail oriented and works independently with a high standard of results.
Under the direction of the Base Ops Manager, the Facilities Tech performs building maintenance on Boreal, Woodward and Soda Springs facilities. With that said, no task is too small as working on Donner Summit means we all pick up a shovel, bump chairs, and pitch in all aspects of resort operations no matter our title or pay grade. If you are detail oriented, have at least 1 year of related experience, and can produce quality results independently, we want to hear from you!

While every day is different and our roles may shift based on business needs, here is what you can expect to dive into in this role as a Building Maintenance Technician:
Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance on resort facilities.
Complete carpentry projects including framing, trim work, door and window repairs, and finish work.
Assist with concrete repair, installation, and finishing projects.
Troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs and maintenance in accordance with safety standards.
Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Inspect resort walkways, entrances, stairways, and public areas for safety hazards and take corrective action as needed.
Assist with snow removal, seasonal maintenance, and general grounds upkeep.
Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance to reduce future repairs and improve facility longevity.
Experience in building maintenance, construction, carpentry, or a related trade preferred but not needed.
Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
