Job Overview:
The Product Experience Design team at LPL Financial is looking for an extremely talented UX/UI Designer, Product Experience / User Experience / Experience Design (PX / UX / XD) to join our team. We are looking for a proven Product Experience / User Experience Designer with experience in and a passion for designing products and services, who advocates for users, embraces human-centered design principles, and loves designing leading experiences through direct customer feedback. You utilize industry best practices, believe in aligning business and customer needs, and are experienced at driving quality customer experiences. Deliverables include project vision documentation, interactive designs, user feedback reports, and UI definition documents.
Responsibilities:
Support the design of new products/services/offerings that customers love and support new product development.
Utilize industry best practices, influence product direction, and become a SME for the products used by our customers: financial professionals and investors.
Create high-quality, user-centered design solutions through high fidelity wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes for products being supported; ensure brand and messaging consistency
Collaboratively create experiences that are desirable, feasible, viable, and high impact.
Partner with teams to plan customer research, create testable hypothesis, and turn quantitative and qualitative research results into impactful product changes. Iterate on and improve the design’s effectiveness through regular customer engagement.
Map out customer and business needs to support and drive design decisions.
Lead quality design outcomes within agile sprint-based environments.
Advocate for the value of good design.
Prepare and present design solutions to internal teams and key stakeholders

Requirements:
Minimum Education Required: BA in design or related field preferred but not required
Minimum Experience Required: 5 years’ experience in product experience (PX), user experience (UX), experience design (XD), information architecture (IA), interaction design (IxD), or visual/user interface design (UI). Financial industry experience preferred
Have the ability to lead quality design outcomes within agile sprint-based environments.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential; the successful candidate will be highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task over across a number of technology initiatives, while meeting deadlines with minimal oversight.
