

1) GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs duties to support inventory operations such as the receipt, storage, issuance, distribution and management of the Hospital’s pharmaceutical supplies and items. Ensure that pharmaceutical supplies are delivered on time and reach the right wards and services as they are needed. Documenting stock transactions and maintaining records.
2) JOB DESCRIPTION
Assist the Senior Storekeeper in preparing purchase orders and obtaining authorization from the Pharmacist.
Assist the Senior Storekeeper in generating Goods Received Notes (GRN).
Attend to emergency calls related to drug requirements.
Source medications in cases of insufficient stock or emergency requirements during the absence of the Chief Pharmacist, Pharmacist, or Senior Storekeeper.
Understand and carry out pharmaceutical care in line with the hospital’s Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Objectives.
Understand the Pharmacy Service’s organizational structure and workflow.
Attend meetings to discuss issues and matters related to pharmacy operations.
Follow the FIFO (First In, First Out) method for all transfers and issues, except for emergency items.
Ensure correct tagging and accurate delivery of goods to the wards.
Supply stocks to wards and other departments as floor stock according to the set schedule.
Issue stocks to dispensary and perform computer stock transfers upon request.
Respond promptly to queries regarding stock availability.
Maintain proper stock control both physically and in the system.
Be accountable for consignment items and ensure accurate system entry.
Verify that all items supplied by vendors match purchase orders or delivery notes in terms of type, quantity, and specification.
Notify the Senior Storekeeper or Pharmacist of partially completed purchase orders or back-ordered drugs.
Ensure all items supplied are in good condition with acceptable expiry dates (minimum one year).
Inform the Senior Storekeeper or Pharmacist of stocks running low or reaching minimum levels.
Ensure all items received are stored according to their required storage conditions.
Organize and store goods properly for easy accessibility and optimal space utilization.
Complete all documentation accurately and promptly, including bin cards, non-conformance reports, and other required forms.
Enter all transfers into the electronic database accurately and within 24 hours.
Maintain proper documentation and records of all stock transactions.
Conduct regular checks on slow-moving or short-expiry items and inform the Senior Storekeeper/Pharmacist for rotation or exchange.
Monitor refrigerator temperatures regularly and report any malfunction to the Senior Storekeeper/Pharmacist.
Participate actively in stock takes organized by the hospital.
Maintain cleanliness, tidiness, and orderliness of all work areas and store floors to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
Participate in various committees or activities as assigned by management.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist or Pharmacist.
Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by the immediate superior or hospital management.
3) JOB REQUIREMENT
Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
Experience in hospital store work.
Good grade in Mathematics.
Demonstrate knowledge of computer programs related to work.
Must be physically fit and able to cope with lifting and walking considerable distances.
Possess Driving License.
Prepared to understand and follow the Hospital rules and regulations.
Demonstrates positive attitude when it comes to additional duties required by the Hospital administration.
Has good interpersonal and communication skills.
Reliable, dependable, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Prepared to work as a team and ability to work on own initiative.
