Network Senior - Client WAN (MPLS & VPN) – 6 - 9 Yrs - Bangalore
About the Team:
Client WAN Engineering designs, deploys, and operates secure, scalable enterprise WAN architectures, delivering end‑to‑end routing, SD‑WAN migrations, client turnups, and 24×7 network service delivery.
What you will be doing
- Design, configure, and troubleshoot routing across core and client edge platforms, including Juniper MX and Cisco ASR 1K / ISR 4K devices.
- Lead and deliver large‑scale WAN initiatives such as new data center deployments and infrastructure upgrades.
- Execute client migrations from legacy WAN environments to SD‑WAN or modern network architectures, ensuring seamless end‑to‑end migration and turnover.
- Implement routing, firewall, and security policies for new client applications and branch expansions.
- Own end‑to‑end client onboarding (new client turnups), managing projects independently and delivering within defined SLAs.
- Develop and maintain standard network documentation, including detailed Visio diagrams for core and client connectivity.
- Provide deep operational support and troubleshooting for WAN services, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Support 24×7 network service delivery operations, responding effectively to incidents, escalations, and change activities.
What you bring (Requirements)
- CCNP (Routing & Switching or Service Provider) certification is required; Juniper Routing or Security certification is a strong plus.
- In‑depth hands‑on experience with networking fundamentals and protocols, including TCP/IP and routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
- Proven expertise in VPN and tunneling technologies, including IPsec (IKEv1/IKEv2), GRE, DMVPN, and FlexVPN.
- Strong understanding of WAN technologies, including MPLS and hybrid WAN architectures.
- Working knowledge of data center technologies, including Cisco Nexus platforms and load balancers such as F5 and Citrix.
- Experience with network operating systems including Cisco IOS, IOS‑XE, NX‑OS, and Juniper JUNOS.
- Practical knowledge of network management and monitoring technologies such as NetFlow, SNMP, and TACACS.
- Experience with network automation using tools such as Ansible, AWX, and Python.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with hands‑on experience in traffic flow analysis, packet capture, and performance monitoring.
