Position Summary
CVS Health's Analytics & Behavior Change (A&BC) team is an organization working to solve some of the most challenging problems at the intersection of technology and healthcare. A&BC leverages AI, advanced analytics, clinical informatics, and hypothesis-driven approaches to transform data into actionable, customer-centric insights that drive growth, improve health outcomes, and expand access to healthcare across all CVS Health businesses. Our teams build next-generation data and AI products that help power CVS Health to make healthier happen for 100+ million customers.
The Principal Decision Scientist for Commercial Pricing and Product will act as internal consultant, product manager, and analytics leader across a range of programs supporting underwriting, actuarial, and sales functions, working to improve growth, retention, and margin. Success requires an entrepreneurial approach, ownership mindset, strong problem-solving abilities, and an ability to build trust-based relationships with senior executives. This leader operates at the intersection of product strategy, advanced analytics, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring insights are scalable, actionable, and directly tied to performance and financial outcomes.

Consult with internal clients to identify opportunities to implement data science solutions to business problems at an expert level
Facilitate continuous, cross‑functional communication across Product, Engineering, Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, and Executive teams.
Build trusted partnerships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, serving as a strategic thought partner for data‑driven decisions.
Translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable narratives for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
Deliver executive‑ready insights that clearly articulate progress, risks, and tradeoffs.
Ability to structure data analysis, driving analytics insights and analytical solutions to help data scientists determine the best analytical solution

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$144,200.00 - $288,400.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
