The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
The Senior Project Coordinator provides organizational support to the Artwork and Packaging Department by working directly with a cross functional team to coordinate and execute activities related to the development of packaging and labeling items for the launch and maintenance of Abbott Diabetes Care products.
What You’ll Work On
Responsible for coordinating with an internal cross functional team consisting of R&D, Regulatory, Legal, Purchasing, Operations, and Quality to develop packaging and labeling items for new products or revisions to existing products.
Responsible for coordinating the efficient use of Artwork and Packaging resources to meet deadlines for new product releases and product revisions.
Issues Engineering Changes and modifies Bill of Materials in Agile for packaging and labeling components.
Responsible for coordinating the translation of packaging and labeling items with language translation agencies.
Responsibilities may include estimating and managing budgets for artwork and packaging project deliverables.
Responsible for interpreting project schedules and escalating project timeline risks to management.
Accountable for preparing the necessary packaging and labeling items to meet project launch timelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree, preferably in Communications or Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum of 1 year of work experience including coordinating and executing project activities
Ability to read and interpret project schedules.
Strong proofreading ability and attention to detail is required.
Must demonstrate strong problem-solving techniques.
Solid written and oral communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, must be service oriented
Computer literacy with both PC and MAC platforms
Software literacy levels desired: Microsoft Office Suite: Mid level experience
Ability to work on premises for core working hours of department.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge in legal aspects of packaging, trademarks, and promotions is helpful but not a required.
Understanding of FDA regulatory issues related to medical device products and/or diabetic disease states is helpful but not required.
Background in print production is preferred but not required.
Good time management skills; ability to set priorities and remain flexible to changes

$90,000.00 – $180,000.00
