Job Summary
As a Principal in Artificial Intelligence Security Engineering, you will lead the delivery of security capabilities that enable and protect Telstra’s use of AI. The role ensures secure-by-design adoption of AI technologies while strengthening Telstra’s ability to detect and respond to emerging AI-driven threats.
The Opportunity
This role sits at the centre of Telstra’s AI transformation, partnering with AI, data, engineering, and cyber teams to ensure secure innovation at scale while influencing enterprise-wide security practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead AI security engineering capabilities.
Embed security-by-design across AI systems and pipelines.
Mitigate AI-related risks with engineering teams.
Leverage AI to enhance cyber defence.
Collaborate with stakeholders and partners.
Lead and mentor teams.
About You
Experience in cyber security engineering with AI exposure.
Understanding of AI threat models and frameworks.
An understanding of the current AI security threat landscape.
Experience in cyber security technologies, analysis, and operations and an understanding of how AI can be used to improve cyber defences.
Experience in enterprise-scale security implementation.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience leading teams.
Innovative and adaptable.
