Role Overview:
All partner relations within a particular category are the responsibility of the Director – Supply Chain. The Director is responsible for the financial performance of a particular product category. Profitability will be measured on several components including field sales margin, vendor rebates, vendor payment terms and vendor marketing contributions such as promotion allowances, sample allowances, etc. In addition, he or she will monitor the performance of vendors and products within a category as well as a review of potential product additions that will result in improving the category’s performance. The Director works very closely with the Replenishment Team to ensure the efficient delivery and proper inventory levels of the products in the category and Marketing to create support materials that will assist in the sales of the category.
Strong ethics and negotiation skills are required for this role. Sales or supplier management experience in the category is required to ensure understanding of the field sales needs. The right candidate possesses professional presence and communication skills and is collaborative, analytical, detailed oriented and service minded. This individual represents Heritage to a large section of our vendor community.
