As a Senior Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

• ○ Demonstrating extensive knowledge of hedging strategies and application of hedge accounting requirements under IFRS;
• ○ Demonstrating significant experience valuing derivatives, including interest rate swaps, FX, options, forward contracts, swaps, etc.;
• ○ financial instruments hedging, treasury and derivatives accounting, embedded derivatives;
• ○ complex transactions in new and established products through an understanding of complex and/or new accounting and tax standards;
• ○ Understanding business intelligence and performance management software tools;
• Developing and validating quantitative risk models
• ○ Building and enhancing credit, market and liquidity risk models (e.g., portfolio models, copula‑based simulations, factor models).
• ○ Implementing simulation‑based quantification (e.g. CVaR, UL, EL, Expected Shortfall)
• ○ Performing model validation, sensitivity analysis, back‑testing and documenting model limitations in accordance with regulatory expectations (e.g. CRR III, CRD VI)
• Valuing financial instruments
• ○ Supporting fair value measurement of derivatives, bonds, structured products and embedded derivatives under IFRS 13 and IFRS 9.
• ○ Reviewing valuation methodologies used by clients (e.g. Hull‑White, Monte‑Carlo, binomial trees) including assumption checks and calibration approaches
• ○ Assessing disclosure compliance in financial statements (IFRS 7/13)
• Supporting complex audit and advisory engagements
• ○ Acting as a quantitative specialist within audit teams including risk analytics, valuation testing and treasury‑related assessments.
• ○ Providing guidance to audit teams on model‑related questions and financial instrument disclosures.
• Driving quality, compliance and risk management
• ○ Ensuring models and analyses adhere to PwC’s rigorous risk & compliance standards
• ○ Documenting methodology, assumptions and results to meet internal and regulatory quality expectations
• Leveraging digital tools and data analytics
• ○ Using programming languages and modelling environments (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, SQL) to build and automate quantitative analytics, consistent mit PwC’s Focus on data & automatization
• Being Proficient in utilizing technology and industry software for efficient financial analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrating abilities in financial reporting processes and technical accounting, including the following areas: performing analyses, research, and documenting complex and emerging accounting, regulatory and financial reporting topics; and, writing, communicating, facilitating, and presenting cogently; to and/or for all levels of industry audiences, clients and internal staff and management.

• Serving as a participant on communications with engagement teams / clients.

Depending on the specific position within Financial Markets & Real Estate (FMRE), play an integral role as a professional on PwC's FMRE team supporting engagements. This will include understanding business objectives of the company, how the scope of services fits in and the skills you will need to successfully perform the work.
• Must-have
• Similar work experience from following organizations: – Big 4’s – similar experience – Financial Services Companies / Investment Banks/Credit Rating Agencies specifically in controllership profiles
• Ideally experience in banking, quantitative risk management, financial modelling, auditing of financial instruments, or related areas.
• Experience with regulatory or accounting frameworks (IFRS 9/13/7, CRR III, CRD VI).
• Proficient in MS Excel, Python, R, MATLAB
• Good-to-have
• Certifications in Finance
• Basic understanding of corporate financial statements and various types of securities/Financial Instruments
• Playing a role in discussions, proactively ask questions and share an informed point of vie or similar modelling tools.
• Knowledge of stochastic modelling, derivatives valuation, curve construction, calibration techniques, simulation methods.
• Understanding of treasury processes and risk frameworks
• Strong communication skills

• Preferred Years of Experience –
• Minimum 2 years for credentialed candidates

Qualifications Minimum Education Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Real Estate, Engineering (of any discipline), Geoinformatics, Business Administration, Information Technology
• B.COM, B.Tech, B.SC, BBA

Credentials:

CPA, CA, CFA, CAIA, FRM, Master’s in relevant field of expertise or MBA, or PGDBM in Finance from premium institutes only
