The Buyer will be primarily responsible for the procurement of the BOM Components related at the plant. As part of purchasing team, the individual will help set strategies for mechanical parts, metal parts related in line with plant and global procurement initiatives, also as an internal program buyer to manage the programs related.

Key Accountabilities

1. Supports commodity / services strategy implementation. Makes sourcing recommendations based on cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness

2. Procures materials and/or services, prepares orders, obtains and analyzes quotes, generates and processes requisitions, maintains related records, and expedites deliveries with supply base

3. Obtains and analyzes cost on standard and special parts or products as a basis for pricing purposes

4. Conducts routine purchase negotiations with suppliers to establish agreement and conditions governing purchases

5. Resolves routine problems in supplier performance

6. Support new product launches by sourcing new components in a timely manner

7. Follows up engineering or other requisition changes with suppliers to assure that changes are implemented in timely manner at no or minimal incremental cost for company

8. Manage supplier resource, optimize supplier roadmap based on commodity strategy and plant request

9. Monitor and improve supplier performance, ensure stable quality and delivery

10. Take effective actions to obtain sustainable purchasing productivity

11. Support energy management and saving activities.

12. Support plant operation functions to optimize supply chain

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years’ experience in areas of Procurement, Material Management, Machinery manufacturing and etc.

2. Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Studies/ Economics/ Management or equivalent

Works under close supervision

1. Good understanding of operations and how purchasing interacts with other functions

2. Knowledge of Purchasing and other relevant processes and tools

3. Substantial knowledge base of technical and specialized materials and relevant supplier capabilities

4. Ability to execute against established tools and processed

5. Ability to effectively utilize standard purchasing techniques, policies, and procedures

6. Basic understanding of supply and market economics

7. Proven general procurement skills

8. Exhibits initiative and responsiveness towards resolving supplier issues

9. Under supervision effectively manages assigned suppliers

10. Exhibits self-discipline and good analytical skills

11. Strong sense of responsibility. Always deliver high quality. Good Communication skills and willing to cooperate
