Job Description:
DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Field Service Lead, SENA, located in Singapore.
Job Overview:
This role is responsible for leading the regional Field Service Engineering organization for DePuy Synthes across the South East & North Asia (SENA) cluster. The incumbent is accountable for safe, compliant, and high‑quality field service delivery, people leadership, and operational excellence, while partnering cross‑functionally to support business growth and customer experience.
Responsibilities
People Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Field Service Engineers; drive performance management, capability building, and engagement.
Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Field Service Operations & Execution
Translate regional and global service strategy into operational plans, KPIs, and execution across the SENA cluster.
Ensure timely, effective installation, maintenance, repair, and support of DePuy Synthes equipment.
Monitor service performance (e.g. responsiveness, quality, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction) and drive corrective actions.
Field Service Training
Training of Field Service Engineers across the SENA cluster to be equipped to service for NPIs.
Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with Quality Management System, local regulations, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Support investigations, audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives related to field service activities.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Drive improvements in field service processes, productivity, asset utilization, inventory, and cost management.
Lead or contribute to regional initiatives (e.g. service transformation, digital tools, standardization).
Stakeholder & Business Partnership
Partner closely with Commercial, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, and key cross functional teams.
Support key customer engagements and escalations reinforcing DePuy Synthes’ reputation for service excellence and technical expertise; provide regular performance updates to leadership.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or equivalent) required.
8+ years of experience in Field Service Engineering, Technical Service, or Operations within MedTech / Medical Devices.
3+ years of people management experience leading technically specialized teams.
Proven experience working in regulated environments (QMS, audits, CAPA, regulatory inspections).
Regional or multi‑country experience within APAC preferred; matrix organization exposure strongly preferred.
Strong leadership and coaching capability; able to lead through influence.
Solid understanding of medical device servicing, lifecycle management, and quality requirements.
Operational and business acumen (KPI management, budgeting, resource planning).
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Willingness to travel within the SENA cluster.
English proficiency required; regional language skills an advantage.
Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
