Position Summary: Garonit Pharma is seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and daily operation of facility systems and building infrastructure at our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Flanders, NJ.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine facility maintenance and repairs, including plumbing, lighting, painting, carpentry, and general building upkeep
Assist with preventative maintenance for facility systems, utilities, and equipment
Troubleshoot and respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
Support HVAC, compressed air, water, and utility system monitoring and maintenance
Help maintain facility cleanliness, organization, and housekeeping standards in non-production and general facility areas
Assist with minor cleanup tasks, general upkeep, and maintaining an inspection-ready environment
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors during service visits, maintenance, and repair activities
Support facility inspections and help ensure compliance with company safety procedures
Assist with office moves, furniture assembly, and facility setup as needed
Maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and related documentation
Identify and proactively report safety hazards, equipment issues, or facility concerns
Assist with inventory management of maintenance tools, parts, and supplies
Support emergency maintenance situations and after-hours facility needs as required
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Technical school certification, trade training, or relevant vocational experience preferred
2+ years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related experience preferred
Experience in pharmaceutical, manufacturing, laboratory, or other regulated environments is a plus
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow safety procedures, SOPs, and company policies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Working Conditions: This is a full-time hourly onsite role based at our Flanders, NJ manufacturing facility. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime, weekend work, or emergency response support based on facility and operational needs. This role requires standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds.
