The RDD IT function has end-to-end accountability for the design, delivery, and support of the systems that enable Dyson’s global research, engineering, and product development communities.
This includes:
Engineering platforms such as PLM (Teamcenter), CAE, simulation, and digital engineering tooling
Global product development systems and processes
Delivery of transformation initiatives and operational IT services across multiple global sites
The Technical Product Manager – PLM is responsible for defining, owning, and evolving technical products within the RDD IT landscape, with a particular focus on the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) stack.
Operating within the RDD IT function, this role ensures that PLM product roadmaps are aligned to engineering needs and business priorities, translating complex requirements into structured plans for delivery. You will act as a key interface between engineering stakeholders, solution architects, and delivery teams, ensuring that solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to industry best practices.
You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to oversee the quality of delivery, drive continuous improvement across product and application lifecycles, and contribute to the long-term evolution of Dyson’s engineering technology landscape.
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Create and maintain an IT product development roadmap for PLM (Teamcenter) capabilities
Ensure roadmaps reflect technical thought leadership and industry best practices
Align product direction to engineering requirements and business priorities
Continuously review and refine roadmap based on stakeholder input and delivery outcomes
Stakeholder Management & Business Partnership
Act as an ambassador for Global IT across RDD and NPI stakeholder groups
Engage with senior RDD stakeholders, engineers, solution architects, and business process owners
Build strong working relationships across delivery, support, and engineering teams
Ensure alignment between stakeholder needs and product direction
Delivery Oversight & Quality Assurance
Work within the RDD IT delivery function to oversee quality of technical delivery
Ensure solutions comply with defined standards, policies, and architectural direction
Collaborate with delivery teams and external partners to ensure successful execution
Support resolution of delivery challenges and ensure continuous improvement
Platform Ownership & Continuous Improvement
Take joint accountability for the robustness and maturity of PLM platforms
Support and improve product management and application delivery practices
Identify opportunities to enhance system capabilities and user experience
Drive continuous improvement across product lifecycle and service delivery
Vendor & Partner Management
Work with external strategic partners to bring industry insight and best practice
Collaborate with Legal and Procurement to maximise value from third-party engagements
Support development of long-term platform capability and vendor strategy
Technology Strategy & Innovation
Support architecture teams and strategic partners in shaping future platform direction
Contribute to adoption of new technologies and industry trends within RDD IT
Identify opportunities to improve capability through innovation and tooling evolution
Professional Development
Own and drive personal and professional development in line with Dyson frameworks
Use internal development tools to assess capability and define growth objectives
Continuously build technical and stakeholder management expertise
You must possess strong technical product management capability, with the ability to bridge engineering needs and IT delivery. You will demonstrate strong organisational skills, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage complexity in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Experience working within global, matrixed organisations
Experience collaborating with external partners and vendors
Exposure to engineering toolchains including simulation, CAE, or software development platforms
