COP | Residency Prog

The UAMS College of Pharmacy (COP) offers postgraduate residency programs that provide a structured and comprehensive training experience in clinical pharmacy. Pharmacy Residents are selected through the ASHP Match program and receive a 12-month appointment within UAMS or a partnering pharmacy community practice site. Upon successful completion of all residency requirements, residents are awarded a residency certificate.
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy
Eligibility for Arkansas pharmacist licensure no later than September 1, 2026.
Successful participation in the ASHP Residency Match process

Responsibilities:
Participate in scheduled clinical rotations under the supervision of residency preceptors, the residency program director, and other College of Pharmacy faculty.
Deliver direct patient care, attend interdisciplinary rounds, and contribute to patient-centered medication therapy management.
Engage in teaching, research, and service activities as required by the residency program.
Conduct and present a major project and other required presentations at local, state, or national levels.
Complete all scheduled evaluations and meet all expectations outlined in the residency program’s manual.
