

ROLE TITLE: PC Category Strategy Senior Manager, Deodorants

ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead the strategic direction and growth of the Deodorants category within Unilever U.K., focusing on innovation, market share expansion, and profitability. This role drives the long-term vision and execution of category strategies, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for Deodorants, encompassing brand positioning, product innovation roadmap, pricing, promotion, and distribution channels.
Conduct in-depth market analysis, consumer insights research, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and mitigate threats.
Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to translate category strategies into actionable plans and successful product launches.
Manage the category’s P&L, ensuring delivery of financial targets, market share objectives, and brand health metrics.
Lead the development of annual marketing plans and ensure effective execution across all consumer touchpoints.
Identify and evaluate potential M&A opportunities or strategic partnerships within the deodorants space.
Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a high-performance culture within the category team.
Present category performance, strategic recommendations, and future plans to senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and internal company policies.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Established and progressive experience in category management, brand management, or strategic marketing within the FMCG industry, with a significant portion dedicated to personal care or deodorants.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful category strategies that have driven significant business growth and market share gains.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, draw actionable insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of an organization.
Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial acumen.
Proficiency in market research methodologies and consumer insights tools.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
