About the role

Job Summary
Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job. Maintain and repair all machinery. Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors. Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper training certification (GTAW, SMAW, SAW, GTAW Aluminum, etc.)
• Be capable of reading all prints issued to welding department
• Accurately follow welding instructions to provide quality welds within the appropriate approved methods
• Ability to use and operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders and forklifts
• Work closely and communicate clearly with the other departments, Weld personnel, Supervisor and Lead Man

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Knowledge and understand of turbo machinery repair.
• Must have the required tools to perform their expected tasks.
• Must be able to use precision measuring instruments.
• Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
• Must have 5 years or more of proven welding experience.
