As our next HR Manager, you will provide comprehensive Human Resources leadership and support to the Stratford plant and JETS facility. You will partner closely with plant and senior leadership to support operational objectives through workforce planning, employee relations, compliance, and engagement initiatives, while maintaining a strong presence on the manufacturing floor and actively contributing to continuous improvement activities.

What You’ll Be Doing
Providing full Human Resources responsibility for the Stratford plant, ensuring consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and practices
Coordinating all HR activities including recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and development
Actively participating in production meetings to support workforce planning, attendance management, and operational priorities
Preparing and presenting HR metrics and initiatives during Plant Operating Reviews (PORs)
Delivering HR updates and key messages during shift communication meetings across both plants
Conducting regular plant walkthroughs with the Senior Leadership Team to maintain visibility, reinforce safety and performance expectations, and support employee engagement
Building strong relationships with employees and leaders through effective communication, coaching, and performance feedback
Reviewing, recommending, and implementing HR policies and procedures to enhance consistency, communication, and legislative compliance
Creating and supporting initiatives that attract, retain, and develop talent in a manufacturing environment
Ensuring fairness, consistency, integrity, and confidentiality across all HR practices
Counseling employees and managers on employee relations matters including performance management, attendance, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and investigations
Leading and supporting workforce restructuring and labour reduction initiatives, including employee communications, redeployment, severance processes, and legislative compliance
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and partnering with leadership to align labour resources with production plans and project timelines
Ensuring compliance with Quality Management System requirements, including IATF 16949 and ISO 14001
Supporting all Johnson Electric Safety, Environmental, and corporate policy requirements
Completing additional HR initiatives and projects as assigned
What We’re Looking For
Four‑year university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (post‑graduate HR diploma preferred)
CHRP designation or active pursuit of designation required
5–7 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Strong working knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
Proven ability to partner effectively with leaders at all levels of the organization
Demonstrated capability in employee relations, conflict resolution, workforce planning, and change management
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written)
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Strong problem‑solving skills with a sense of urgency and results‑driven mindset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Work Environment
Primarily office‑based with regular time spent on the manufacturing floor across multiple plant locations
Day shift with flexibility to support plant operations
