THE OPPORTUNITY
Join Exeter as a Calf Rearer to assist our team at our purpose-built calf rearing facility for the Autumn and Spring. You will help during the calving season, which ends mid-December, this is a fixed term position from now until mid-December 2026.
Your day-to-day activities may consist of feeding calves, general animal hygiene, picking up calves, administering animal health treatments and processing calves through the cattle yards.
We can offer flexibility with your hours within the rostered days, just chat to us about what you are looking for. As there is no on-site accommodation, reliable transport is required.

Pāmu Landcorp Farming Limited is a State-Owned Enterprise with over 110 farms across New Zealand. Our purpose is to lead the delivery of innovative and sustainable agriculture solutions for future generations.
THE FARM
Located only 15 minutes from central Taupo, Exeter Calf Rearing aims to rear 2,400 calves this autumn and 3,600 in Spring.
Exeter is 130 effective ha with brand new infrastructure. Our purpose-built shed can hold up to 660 calves at a time. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to make large scale calf rearing enjoyable and efficient for staff.
ABOUT YOU
This role can be physically demanding so stamina and fitness are essential in this role. You must be able to lift 20kg.
What you need:
An exceptional attitude to health and safety and animal welfare
A good eye for detail and a willingness to learn
The ability to work unsupervised
No prior experience needed
