About the Role
This is a delivery-focused engineering role responsible for supporting the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise network infrastructure across both on-premise and cloud-connected environments.
You’ll work closely with solutions engineers and architects to deliver network upgrades, improve operational stability, troubleshoot complex issues, and help uplift the organisation’s network capability.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys:
Working across a modern hybrid infrastructure environment
Solving real operational problems across network, endpoint, and identity layers
Delivering practical infrastructure improvements
Being hands-on across both logical and physical infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
Implement network changes and improvements aligned to approved designs and standards
Configure and support routing, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, and WAN connectivity
Diagnose and resolve issues across routing, switching, DNS, VPN, SD‑WAN, and Wi‑Fi
Packet capture, traffic analysis, and network performance tuning
Support identity‑aware networking, including Windows endpoints, Entra ID / Active Directory, DNS, VPN clients, and 802.1x/RADIUS
Deploy and maintain network hardware (switches, firewalls, wireless), including data centre and office infrastructure changes
Implement security controls such as firewall rules, VPN access, and basic IDS/IPS or web filtering (as directed)
Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, configurations, and runbooks
Execute changes using ITIL‑aligned change management and contribute to CAB processes
Work closely with software, cloud, security teams, and vendors to resolve issues and deliver improvements
What we’re looking for
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, DNS, VPNs)
Exposure to security‑aware networking in an enterprise environment
Experience supporting Windows endpoints and identity‑integrated networks
Methodical, analytical troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently within defined scope while collaborating effectively
Clear communicator with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
Strong documentation discipline and respect for operational governance
Experience working with network hardware in data centre or enterprise environments
