Functional Consultant Lead - Commercial Loan Servicing – 6-13 Yrs – Pune Location
About the Role:
You will join a client-facing team of functional consultants and business analysts delivering global commercial loan servicing projects. In this role, you will guide clients through discovery, solution design, configuration, validation, testing and go-live for complex lending transformations. Success in this role means translating business needs into scalable product solutions, reducing delivery risk, and helping clients achieve efficient, compliant loan servicing operations.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead requirements workshops with clients across syndicated, bilateral and complex commercial lending operations
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, process flows and business test scenarios
Map client requirements to product capabilities across commercial loan servicing platforms, including ACBS
Perform gap analysis and define product changes, client-specific enhancements and change requests
Configure workflows, product rules and servicing parameters to support target operating models
Partner with development teams during build and configuration to clarify requirements and resolve issues
Validate business outcomes through scenario walkthroughs, defect triage and end-to-end testing support
Guide clients through UAT readiness, execution, issue resolution and go-live preparation
Deliver training, knowledge transfer and process documentation to support user adoption and operational readiness
Identify process improvement opportunities and strengthen controls, documentation quality and delivery consistency
What you bring:
6–13 years of experience in commercial lending, loan servicing, or financial services consulting with Business Analysis experience
Hands-on experience with commercial loan servicing platforms such as ACBS, Loan IQ or similar systems
Working knowledge of SWIFT, ISO 20022, IBOR transition impacts and lending-related regulatory considerations
Strong knowledge of the commercial loan lifecycle, including servicing, amendments, accruals, payments, & reporting
Experience supporting syndicated and bilateral lending operations, including borrower, agent and lender workflows
Proven skill in requirements elicitation, functional specification writing, gap analysis and change request definition
Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, negotiation and conflict resolution skills in client-facing environments
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with UAT planning, business validation, training delivery and go-live support
Familiarity with Agile delivery methods, user stories and backlog refinement
Basic knowledge of PLSQL, APIs, scripting tools, and system integration concepts
Experience improving controls, delivery processes and documentation standards across consulting engagements
Understanding of commercial lending data models, interfaces and operational reporting
