The Regional Slotting Manager oversees all slotting activities within a designated region. This position will assist and coach local slot coordinators on network standard slotting practices and set basic slotting strategies within a market. Execute Regional and overall market analysis to determine slotting to enable the most productive flow of the warehouse from inbound to the outbound. These strategies will enable productivity and eliminate waste from the operation.
This position has up to 50% travel required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and Supports enterprise projects regarding slotting, capacity, racking, and warehouse remodel.
Leads projects to reslot the warehouse depending on velocity and density to meet customer needs in the most effective way.
Leads reslotting projects in the warehouse as a team member and internal supplier to engineering and facility operations.
Acts as slotting project leader during reracking and warehouse optimization projects.
Facilitates weekly calls with slot coordinators to ensure goal metrics are reviewed and achieved.
Serves as a subject matter expert in slotting functions and as a mentor and advisor to local slot coordinators on the following activities:
Research and move items scoring poorly due to weight constraints, density sequencing, movement goals, etc..
Check all slots, new items and reported current items for dimension, TiHi and/or storage temp discrepancies(about 20% of new items).
Review and slot major account products properly before onboarding.
Slotting incoming new items, Just In Time, and Fresh 2 Frozen transfers correctly.
Checking Discontinued When Out and discontinued items for inventory/proper status and unslotting “Dead” items correctly.
Consistently monitors and analyzes warehouse slotting operations to measure warehouse productivity metrics, ensure successful implementation and identify new opportunities for efficiencies.
Partners with Region VP of Operations and market/area staff to train warehouse slot coordinators in efficient and safe work methods. Performs process simulations before deploying new slotting recommendations to assess impact on labor productivity.
Implements new and modifies existing slotting strategies to improve warehouse efficiencies.
Track and Measure leading and lagging Key Process Indicators, to eliminate WASTE and enable flow of product and productivity of the warehouse.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations with minimum of 3 in slotting warehouse product.
Previous project management experience.
Experiece in working in a union environment.
Must possess a high level of interpersonal skill.
Must possess root cause analysis skills
Must have strong expertise in the following:
Up to 50% of travel overnight.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between
$75,000 - $125,000
