This employment opportunity is for students who are interested in promoting library resources and services in fun, active, and entertaining ways. Works collaboratively with other student outreach compeers and the Outreach and Student Engagement Librarian.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
Promote library resources and services to the general student body through targeted activities, such as library events, tabling, etc.
Plan and publicize library events that foster engagement, diversity, and inclusion.
Recommend ways to improve the Union student library experience, by sharing stories, facilitating student focus groups, and/or conducting quick feedback activities.
Meet with the Schaffer Outreach Committee once (or twice) a term to report on activities and share information.
Create engaging promotional materials, including short videos (reels), library swag, posters, and social media posts.
Qualifications
Ability to work independently or with a team.
Good oral and written communication.
Willingness to actively engage with peers in public settings, like tabling, recording video content brainstorming, and/ or soliciting feedback.
A strong desire to think imaginatively and innovatively.
Some familiarity with creative tools like Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, etc. preferred. Experience with video creation and editing desired.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with student organizations/clubs to encourage collaboration on events and activities with Schaffer Library.
